Merry Christmas from us!

As a very busy and challenging year draws to a close, the pace does not relent.

This fortnight we finally saw the release of the Plymouth City Airport report from Government; there is a lot to read and digest over the Christmas period – you can read my reaction here.

I also held important meetings with the Minister for disabled people and Pluss – the company I work with locally to improve the employment opportunities and life chances of our disabled communities in Plymouth – you can read about it here.

I took part in the Whitleigh Christmas fayre, pedalling away for far too long on one of the bikes to bring Santa home for Christmas. I also chaired the Defence Committee’s hearing into the way we, as a country, look after those subject to judicial processes after their time as a member of our Armed Forces. You can watch the video here.

I used my pay-rise to help pay for some Christmas lights for the first time in Crownhill and we had a heart-warming switch-on; I also attended a very lively youth parliament event in the Council chamber – you can read about that here. One of the biggest successes of the year came late on, when I managed to secure £80,000 in LIBOR funding for a Veteran’s project right here in Plymouth – more to follow in the New Year.

Remember to keep up with all my news here – we keep it as up to date as we can, there’s lots more over there in what has been a very busy time delivering for Plymouth. You can follow me on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and much more by clicking on the icon of your favourite Social Media channel below.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
